Position Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for medical equipment. This position aims to enhance product performance and ensure compliance with industry standards while focusing on cost reduction and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop manufacturing processes for medical equipment and components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate new product introductions (NPI) and ensure successful product launches.
- Conduct testing methods to evaluate product performance and reliability, ensuring adherence to quality systems and regulations.
- Optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Participate in field input sessions to gather insights for product improvement and innovation.
- Provide technical input for vendor selection and sustaining engineering projects.
- Perform material review board duties and ensure compliance with quality control inspection standards.
- Utilize CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD, for design documentation and development.
- Engage in risk assessments and safety procedures to uphold workplace safety and ergonomics.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly in the medical device sector.
- Strong knowledge of electromechanical design, including motor selection, drivetrain integration, and sensor integration.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, custom automation, and electrical design.
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD) and engineering principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and proficiency in data collection and analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and creative thinking.
