The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and implementing engineering solutions to improve production efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical design and lean manufacturing principles, along with experience in managing capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Manage capital projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Utilize Lean methodologies to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Develop and maintain CAD models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Catia for manufacturing components.
- Oversee engineering change notices (ECNs) and ensure proper documentation is followed up on.
- Collaborate with product line management to align manufacturing capabilities with business unit goals.
- Implement Six Sigma principles to improve product quality and reduce variability.
- Manage product data management systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available for production.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering roles.
- Proficient in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Catia.
- Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with capital project management.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
