The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes related to medical equipment and patient support structures. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance, ensure quality standards, and reduce costs while adhering to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes for medical equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introductions (NPI).
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform testing methods and quality control inspections on manufactured products.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing components and assemblies.
- Develop and document design history files and engineering change orders.
- Manage vendor selection and sustain engineering activities for ongoing product improvements.
- Analyze and enhance product performance through field input and technical evaluations.
- Implement manufacturing optimization strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Provide technical input for troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials, including metals, plastics, and composites.
- Experience with electromechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulic actuators.
- Ability to perform hand calculations for stiffness, strength, and stability analyses.
- Familiarity with quality system regulations and manufacturing quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collect and analyze data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Experience in project management and working within cross-functional teams.

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
