The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for optimizing and enhancing manufacturing processes in the electronics sector. This role aims to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality production standards while implementing best practices in process engineering and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline operations and minimize waste.
- Conduct Six Sigma projects to improve process quality and reduce variability.
- Develop and execute quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with design teams on PCB design for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues using Root Cause Analysis techniques.
- Implement automation solutions to enhance production capabilities and reduce labor costs.
- Conduct failure analysis to identify defects and improve product reliability.
- Develop cost reduction strategies through process improvements and material optimization.
- Train and support production staff in new processes and quality standards.
- 5 years of experience in process engineering within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with Quality Control and assurance processes in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with PCB Design principles and practices.
- Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Base salary - $75,000 - $100,000 DOE - open to discussion
