The Mechanical Assembly Supervisor will oversee the assembly process in a manufacturing environment, ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards. The supervisor will lead a team of assembly workers, manage schedules, and ensure that projects are completed on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the mechanical assembly team.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and OSHA standards in all assembly operations.
- Review and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine assembly requirements.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate assembly staff on best practices in mechanical assembly and welding techniques.
- Monitor assembly processes and troubleshoot issues to maintain production efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality control, to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- 5 years of experience in mechanical assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of welding and pipe fitting techniques.
- Familiarity with machine assembly procedures and metal fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Driver's License
- Ability to lift 40lbs
- Knowledge of Microsoft office
