Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate mechanical estimates.
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to provide competitive bids for HVAC and sheet metal commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project goals.
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and clarify project details.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of past projects and pricing for future reference.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and present them to clients.
- Assist in the negotiation process with clients and subcontractors.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator with a focus on HVAC and sheet metal systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical subcontractor practices and market trends.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to interpret complex data and pricing.
- Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with clients and subcontractors.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred.
