We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to join our team. The primary objective of this position is to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical projects, ensuring that all aspects of the projects are considered and accounted for in the bids submitted to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate estimates for mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
- Gather and evaluate data for all materials, labor, equipment, and other costs related to mechanical projects.
- Prepare and present comprehensive bid proposals to clients, ensuring clarity and transparency in pricing.
- Monitor and manage bid deadlines and ensure timely submission of estimates to clients.
- Review and analyze previous project costs to improve the accuracy of future estimates.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the mechanical industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- 4-year degree in engineering or construction management
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical estimating experience.
- Salary range $90k-$115k
