Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Paralegal to support our legal team in handling personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of personal injury law and be able to assist attorneys in preparing cases for trial, conducting legal research, and managing case files.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law and statutes
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and maintained
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather information and update them on case status
- Prepare trial materials and assist attorneys during trial proceedings
- Stay updated on changes in personal injury law and legal procedures
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in legal studies or a related field
- Paralegal certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law, including wrongful death and liability issues
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite
