Paralegal - Probate

Job Title: Probate Paralegal
Location: Onsite in Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Annual Base Salary:$70,000 - $90,000 (Depending on experience)
We are a small, reputable law firm in Palm Beach Gardens that has been around for over 20 years. We specialize in Wills and Trusts, Probate and Estate settlements, and Tax Planning.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in preparing and filing probate pleadings and documents
• Manage and organize case files, including all court papers and related documentation
• Conduct research on estate assets and liabilities, including real estate deeds and tax returns
• Prepare and submit e-filing documents to the court
• Assist in the administration of trusts and wills, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
• Docket deadlines and manage calendars for probate-related tasks
• Perform heavy dictation and transcription of legal documents
• Collaborate with clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions to gather necessary information and documentation
• Prepare and file IRS forms related to estate tax returns
• Maintain accurate records of all case activities and communications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in paralegal studies
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a probate paralegal
• Strong knowledge of probate law and procedures
• Proficiency in e-filing systems and document management
• Experience with HotDocs (Plus) or other legal software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with trust administration and estate planning
