We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our legal team in various areas of law, with a focus on personal injury and medical malpractice cases. The ideal candidate will assist in case preparation, research, and client communication, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and support throughout the legal process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information to support ongoing cases.
- Manage case files and maintain organized documentation for all legal proceedings.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and keep them informed on case progress.
- Prepare for trials by organizing exhibits, preparing trial notebooks, and coordinating witness schedules.
- Assist in drafting and filing court documents in compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
- Review medical records and other relevant documents to identify key facts and issues in personal injury and medical malpractice cases.
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification from an accredited program.
- 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in personal injury or medical malpractice law.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures related to personal injury, wrongful death, and trial cases.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and case management software.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Experience with traumatic brain injury, neglect, abuse, nursing home incidents, motor vehicle collisions, and sexual assault cases is a plus.
