Summary: As a Plant Manager, you'll lead and coordinate overall plant operations to ensure production excellence, efficiency, and quality at optimized costs. Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Coordinate manufacturing schedules, optimize raw materials, and ensure efficient production processes.
- Compliance and Safety: Maintain adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations, including state and federal reporting requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure IATF compliance across operations and quality processes.
- Budget and Expenditures: Develop and manage operating budgets and oversee capital expenditures.
- Project Oversight: Lead facility-related capital projects and collaborate with project teams.
- Supplier and Customer Relations: Build strong relationships with suppliers and maintain excellent customer connections.
- Logistics and Maintenance: Supervise inventory, logistics, and maintenance operations.
- Team Leadership: Oversee the production and maintenance teams, providing leadership and decision-making support.
- Floor Presence: Maintain a daily presence on the production floor to drive objectives and team engagement.
- Additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Proven leadership in an industrial setting and strong operational knowledge of manufacturing.
- 10 years of management experience in an industrial environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent plant operations experience (preferred).
- Expertise in environmental, health, and safety protocols, especially hazardous materials management.
- Familiarity with lead oxide manufacturing is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and resource planning tools.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to prepare technical reports and make presentations.
- Logical reasoning and ability to solve a variety of practical problems.
- Understanding of plant layouts, blueprints, process flow diagrams, and operational documents like FMEAs and PPAPs.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and work in high-temperature conditions.
- Must wear a PAPR-style respirator while in the plant.
- Flexibility to travel and work outside normal business hours when required.
- Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.
