We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our growing product development team and lead engineering efforts for commercial products, including new development efforts as well as feature updates. This role encompasses the entire design life cycle including but not limited to aligning the engineering output of various hardware engineering disciplines, managing the design verification testing process, and creating technical documentation to support quality system and regulatory submissions.
We're looking for someone with a very strong medical Electrical Engineering development background, including extensive 60601 regulation design and test experience! This role is on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex systems for medical devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement design solutions to meet customer requirements
- Manage the technical aspects of multiple projects, ensuring on-time delivery and quality
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the design meets performance and reliability requirements
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, Master's degree preferred
- 10 years of experience in systems engineering
- 5 years in the medical device industry including extensive 60601 regulation design and test experience
- Experience with complex system design and development, including hardware, software, and mechanical components
