We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor for our second shift operations. The ideal candidate will oversee the production process, ensuring that food manufacturing standards are met while maintaining efficiency and quality. This role involves leading a team, managing workflow, and implementing best practices in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities on the second shift.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality regulations in the manufacturing process.
- Implement Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and 5S practices to enhance production efficiency.
- Manage and train production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Monitor production metrics and report on performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments such as quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food manufacturing industry or similar.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
