The 1st Shift Production Supervisor will oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in production processes. This role is crucial for maintaining workflow, managing staff, and implementing best practices in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities in an assembly based manufacturing facility
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and EH&S standards
- Monitor production processes to achieve optimal efficiency and quality
- Lead and mentor production staff, fostering a team-oriented environment
- Implement and maintain 5S methodologies to enhance workplace organization
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop corrective action plans
- Oversee material control and manage inventory levels to support production flow
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to uphold manufacturing quality standards
- Facilitate process development initiatives to improve operational performance
- Proven experience in a manufacturing supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EH&S management
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality standards and practices
- Experience with process development and improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of 5S principles and implementation
- Understanding of machining and assembly processes
- Strong organizational and time management skills
