Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed project estimates based on specifications and drawings.
- Conduct take-offs to determine material quantities and labor costs.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast project costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Review and interpret construction documents and scope of work.
- Prepare and submit proposals for fixed bid and negotiated bid projects.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Monitor and update estimates as projects progress and changes occur.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating within the gas and oil industry.
- Proficient in estimating software and tools, especially Primavera.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with piping and related construction proposals is a plus.
