Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of heavy civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while managing all aspects of construction operations. This position is based in and around Boston, MA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial control and compliance.
- Create and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impact.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure favorable terms.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status.
- Allocate resources efficiently, optimizing labor, materials, and equipment utilization.
- Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Oversee site management and coordinate with engineers and other professionals to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage change orders and scope adjustments, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management.
- Proven experience in budget management and financial oversight.
- Strong scheduling skills with experience in project management software.
- Expertise in risk management and developing mitigation plans.
- Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation and stakeholder communication.
- Excellent resource allocation and team leadership skills.
- Thorough understanding of construction methods and engineering principles.
- Experience with quality assurance processes and safety compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with heavy civil projects, including bridges and highways.

Salary : $115,000 - $150,000
