Project Manager - Top Commercial GC - Nashville, TN

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Project Manager to join our team in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial ground-up construction projects, demonstrating strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills. As a mid to senior-level professional, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Coordination:
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues promptly.
• Budget and Cost Management:
• Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, change orders, and procurement of materials and services.
• Monitor expenditures and track project costs to ensure adherence to the budget.
• Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and supervise project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Conduct regular meetings with project teams to review progress, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Quality Control and Compliance:
• Ensure all construction work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to guarantee the highest level of workmanship and materials.
• Address and resolve any quality issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Client and Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular updates on project status, potential risks, and any changes to scope or schedule.
• Manage client expectations and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
• Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
• Proactively resolve any issues that arise during construction to minimize delays and cost overruns.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience managing commercial construction projects, with a strong focus on ground-up construction.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
