Position Overview
The Proposal Manager will oversee the development and submission of proposals for projects, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization and its clients. This role is pivotal in streamlining the proposal process, managing resources effectively, and leading the proposal team to achieve winning submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and draft strong bids to offer energy storage project LTSA services, turn-key EPC solutions, and equipment sales. Understanding RFP/RFQ criteria, creating a winning bid strategy, and working with the technical, commercial, and legal teams to comprehend project requirements and risks are some of the main duties.
- Oversee the transition from RFP response to contracting by managing and coordinating contract papers during the difficult opportunity negotiation period.
- Develop proposal compliance matrix and risk analysis throughout proposal development effort.
- Utilize RFP software to increase proposal consistency and efficiency.
- Provide brief feedback on potential improvements to the offer's content to the Product, Engineering, and Sales Operations divisions.
- Participate in the creation and upkeep of a repository for displays, product collateral, templates, standard language, and other materials.
- Organize and take part in meetings for sales approval if needed.
- Keep thorough records of every opportunity that is currently open in Salesforce and other comparable tools.
- Work on projects aimed at improving processes in various areas.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Electrical Engineer
- 3 years of experience in power generation/battery storage
- Familiarity with Salesforce for tracking proposals and managing client interactions.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing bids for complicated large-scale projects in an international setting, including equipment, turn-key EPC, and LTSA. Preferably in the energy storage industry
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage.
