Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Technician to join our team in Kansas City, KS. This role involves performing standard testing of asphalt, soils, aggregates, and other construction materials in the field and laboratory to ensure compliance with required specifications. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in construction materials testing, with knowledge of industry standards and a passion for delivering quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct sampling and testing of asphalt, aggregates, and soil in the field and laboratory.
• Evaluate and assist in implementing new material technologies.
• Maintain and apply knowledge of current quality standards and specifications.
• Interact professionally with client representatives on-site and in the lab.
• Perform maintenance, calibration, and adjustments of lab equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain safe working conditions.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in construction materials testing or a related field.
• Thorough knowledge of soils, asphalt, and lab/field testing methods.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Current certifications (KDOT, MoDOT, ACI) are preferred.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and flexible hours, including some overnight travel.
