Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician/Trainer

Location: Far Rockaway, NY.

Salary: $18 - 25/hr.

Requirements: Food background is a plus (FDA or USDA). SQF Level II certified. Ideal Candidate has 2 years' experience in Food Safety, SQF Level II, GMPs, Internal Audits. Bi-Lingual in English/Spanish is a Plus.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician/Trainer to ensure the highest standards of quality in our production processes. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for training staff on quality assurance procedures to maintain compliance and improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular quality inspections and audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff on quality assurance practices and procedures.
• Document quality assurance processes and maintain accurate records of inspections and audits.
• Collaborate with production and management teams to identify areas for improvement in quality control processes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report on quality metrics to assess performance and identify trends.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in quality assurance or quality control in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety regulations.
• Experience with SQF (Safe Quality Food) certification, preferably SQF Level II or equivalent.
• Familiarity with quality assurance software and tools for testing and documentation.
• Excellent communication and training skills to effectively educate staff on quality standards.
