Position Overview
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the required quality standards and specifications through rigorous testing and analysis. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement quality assurance processes and methodologies, thereby driving continuous improvement in product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate potential risks in product designs.
- Manage the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to validate new parts and materials.
- Analyze process capability (Cp, Cpk) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to ensure process stability and capability.
- Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) methodology for interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that designs adhere to NIST guidelines and standards.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in quality engineering or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, Cp-cpk, SPC, GD&T, and NIST standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with CAD Design and CMM is a plus.
