Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through rigorous testing and compliance with industry standards. This role will focus on implementing quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall manufacturing quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 2015, and AS9100 standards.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) to validate product specifications and tolerances.
- Analyze product drawings and specifications to identify potential quality issues during manufacturing.
- Facilitate Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DfMEA) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to assess risks and improve product designs.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop quality tools and fixtures that support accurate production processes.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement initiatives.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 2015, and AS9100 standards.
- Experience with DfMEA, PFMEA, and First Article Inspections.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies, including statistical process control and root cause analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
