Position Overview
The Refrigeration Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the service operations of the refrigeration department. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining customer satisfaction while achieving operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the refrigeration service team, providing guidance and support to technicians.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, including EPA certifications.
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of service calls to optimize efficiency.
- Monitor service performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and address any service-related concerns promptly.
- Assist in the training and development of technicians in line with best practices and new technology.
- Manage inventory and procurement of parts and equipment needed for service operations.
- Prepare and manage budgets for the refrigeration service department.
- Proven experience as a Service Manager or similar role in the refrigeration industry.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and technologies, including ThermoKing and Carrier.
- EPA 608 and EPA 609 certifications are required.
- Experience with APU repair and reefer maintenance.
- Familiarity with Karmak software for service management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
- Technical certification in refrigeration or HVAC is preferred.

Salary : $80,000 - $115,000
