Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement database systems based on application requirements.
- Optimize database performance through indexing and query optimization.
- Ensure data security and integrity through proper access controls and backups.
- Work with development teams to integrate database solutions with applications.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Create and maintain documentation for database structures and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Python and Django frameworks.
- Familiarity with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools.
- Proficient in using version control systems like GitHub.
