Title: Safety and Training Manager - Food Manufacturing

Location: Lebanon, IN - ON SITE

Salary: $80,000-$90,000/Year 7-10% Bonus

Requirements: 3 Years of Safety and Training within a Manufacturing Facility. This person will report directly to HR for this role. This role requires someone with experience shaping the culture of Safety and Health within the workplace. Implementation of Safety programs in a past role will be needed for this role. Understanding of workers compensation, and programs for employees is a MUST. Understanding of Manufacturing facilities will be needed for this role, preferably with a high volume facility. What You Will Be Doing

• Manage company-wide safety and training programs to ensure employee safety, minimize workers compensation liability, and comply with corporate and OSHA requirements.
• Oversight of all safety programs and regulatory plans.
• Lead safety training modules, hands-on demonstrations, verification, and testing of safe and proper use of equipment and monitoring the effectiveness of the training.
• Lead plant Safety team, including monthly team meetings and track metrics.
• Manage daily safety efforts and perform investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Create a job specific instructional program for all plant personnel.
• Develop and coordinate training curriculum programs for all plant personnel.
• Perform compliance self-audits and support external audits as required.
• Assures all claims for work related illness or injury are reported timely and manage the process.
• Assist in environmental regulatory compliance needs for the facility
  
  

What You Need For This Position

• Solid foundation of Safety and Workers Compensation and Training knowledge
• Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and compliance requirements
• Bachelor's degree preferred or 3-5 years' experience
• Effective leadership and influencing skills
• Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Solid business knowledge and judgment
• Ability to multitask and work independently with minimum supervision
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule as necessary
