Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage the safety programs to ensure compliance with MSHA and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide training and resources to staff on safety protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with management to develop and enhance safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and report on trends and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure organizational adherence to legal safety requirements.
- Facilitate safety meetings and promote employee engagement in safety initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
- Extensive knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis and safety audits.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
- Experience in developing and implementing safety programs in EHS, mining, cement, or aggregates industries is a plus.
