Safety Manager

Position Overview

The Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing safety policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role involves compliance with safety regulations, conducting training sessions, and leading incident investigations to promote a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and assess risk levels.
• Provide training and development programs for employees on safety regulations and protocols.
• Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
• Manage hazardous materials to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Oversee emergency response planning and preparedness.
• Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to senior management.
• Collaborate with other departments to foster a safety-first culture throughout the organization.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management or a related role.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Proven experience in conducting safety audits and incident investigations.
• Strong training and development skills with experience in delivering safety training.
• Ability to manage hazardous materials and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.
• Certification in Safety Management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
