The Sales Estimator plays a critical role in our sales team by providing accurate estimates and quotes for projects. The Sales Estimator will work closely with the sales and project management teams to deliver high-quality estimates for commercial building materials, particularly focusing on windows and other related materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with sales representatives to understand project scope and client needs.
- Conduct job walks to assess project sites and collect necessary data for estimating.
- Prepare and submit detailed Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to suppliers and vendors.
- Evaluate supplier bids and make recommendations based on cost analysis and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project changes for reference and future use.
- Work with project managers to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines.
- Provide support during the bidding process and assist in closing sales deals.
- Proven experience as a Sales Estimator in the building materials industry, preferably with a focus on windows.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and materials.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate estimating.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Familiarity with RFQs, bidding processes, and sales strategies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and team members.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary : $75,000 - $120,000
