- Perform tasks from audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning to conclusion.
- Review and supervise the work of other employees involved in audits.
- Analyze and review the client's accounts.
- Prepare, review and post journals to the general ledger. Prepare financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, taxes and the modified cash basis.
- Thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and general auditing procedures and techniques.
- Responsible for effective oversight of both audit and other engagements.
- Assists with internal audits of audit assignments.
At Least 5 Years:
- Professional audit/assurance experience in public accounting
- Experience with non-profit finacial audits. Yellow Book and Single Audits preferred.
- Ability to supervise staff.
- Experience running an audit engagement from start to finish.
- Knowledge of project and team management principles
- Bachelor's in Accounting
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) is a plus
