We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of control systems within our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with a variety of control platforms and a strong background in industrial automation, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards while fostering innovation and efficiency in our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for automated processes and machinery.
- Program and configure PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMI/SCADA systems (Wonderware, Ignition).
- Implement and troubleshoot control networks including EtherCAT and Ethernet IP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines (FDA, ISO, etc.).
- Create and maintain process and instrumentation drawings as well as control system diagrams.
- Provide technical support and guidance in the development of low-voltage electrical designs and schematics.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex control system issues in a timely manner.
- Document technical specifications and provide training to junior engineers and operators.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to automation and control systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in controls engineering or related roles.
- Proficiency in programming B&R and Siemens platforms.
- Experience with Allen Bradley programming and HMI/SCADA design (Wonderware, Ignition).
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, EtherCAT).
- Knowledge of VFDs, servo systems, and robots (Fanuc, Staubli).
- Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines (FDA, ISO, EU, ICH, 21 CFR Part 11).
- Excellent technical writing skills and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving in industrial environments.
