The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for overseeing cost accounting functions, analyzing cost variances, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. This role is critical in ensuring accurate costing in manufacturing processes, particularly within the food manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports to assist management in decision-making
- Monitor inventory levels and perform regular inventory reconciliations
- Provide detailed cost analyses for projects and operational activities
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize product costing
- Prepare budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing costs
- Assist in the development of cost standards and evaluate cost variances
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices
- Experience in food manufacturing and supply chain accounting
- Proficient in inventory management and accounting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
