The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project documents (bids, drawings, plans, etc.) and preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects while efficiently collaborating with the design team, GC, subcontractors, and project team to guarantee that bidding deadlines are fulfilled and successful.

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project documents (bids, drawings, plans, etc.) and preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects while efficiently collaborating with the design team, GC, subcontractors, and project team to guarantee that bidding deadlines are fulfilled and successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
- Collaborate with teams to gather necessary information to fully understand the plans, drawings, specifications, job scopes, and other construction papers that are required to guarantee a comprehensive and accurate quote.
- Create a well-structured, precise, and straightforward quantity takeoff and obtain all the necessary paperwork for the full bid proposal.
- Analyze past projects to improve future estimating processes
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Monitor project costs and assist in budget management
- Participate in site tours and pre-bid meetings as needed for the project.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architectural, or similar
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry (ideally 5 years); concrete a plus
- Working knowledge of MEP trades preferred
- Proficiency in estimating software programs (e.g. Sage Timberline, OnScreen); knowledge of Bluebeam a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
