The Senior Food Scientist will lead the development and improvement of food products, ensuring they meet industry standards and consumer expectations. This role will focus on product innovation, quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory requirements while leveraging scientific knowledge to enhance product functionality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the formulation and development of new food products, including sauces and seasonings.
- Conduct research and development to optimize existing products and create innovative solutions.
- Ensure all products comply with food safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
- Perform sensory evaluations to assess product quality and consumer acceptance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product launches and scale-up processes.
- Conduct shelf life studies to determine product stability and safety over time.
- Analyze ingredient functionality and optimization processes to improve product performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain compliance and competitiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in food product development and quality assurance and developing and formulating seasonings, sauces, batter/breaders, meat systems and other related food industry development. Culinary experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and sensory evaluation techniques.
- Experience with analytical chemistry and microbiology in food applications.
- Proven track record in research and development of food products, particularly sauces and meat systems.
- Familiarity with nutritional analysis and ingredient functionality.
- Culinary experience and knowledge of meat science are a plus.

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
