Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior GIS Analyst to join our team. This role focuses on leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze and interpret spatial data related to utilities, enhancing our decision-making processes and operational efficiency.
- This role will require up to 50% travel - 1x or 2x a month to client sites.
- Analyze spatial data using GIS software to support utility planning and operations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate GIS with AutoCAD and other design tools.
- Develop and maintain geospatial databases to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Create detailed maps and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Automate workflows to improve efficiency in data processing and analysis.
- Troubleshoot GIS-related issues and provide technical support to team members.
- Conduct data mining and maintain documentation for system designs and deployments.
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in GIS analysis and utilities management.
- Proficient in GIS software, particularly ArcGIS and ESRI products.
- Experience with AutoCAD and its integration with GIS.
- Familiarity with SAFE/FME software for data manipulation and workflow automation.
- Strong understanding of geospatial data, imagery, raster processing, and databases.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience in database administration.
- Knowledge of utility sectors, particularly gas and electric, is preferred.
