Salary: $80k-$95k first year base Benefits

Position Overview

We are a growing Self Perform Construction firm dedicated to building large-scale solar projects for Independent Power Producers and utility companies. We are now seeking a detail-oriented Senior Project Accountant to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring accuracy in accounting practices, and supporting the financial health of our operations within the EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project accounting functions including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for solar projects.
• Prepare and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of project accounts to maintain financial integrity. Monthly inventory reconciliations.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to track project costs and financial performance.
• Review contracts, subcontractor agreements and ensure timely processing of purchase orders.
• Support project closeout activities by ensuring all financial documentation is complete and accurate.
• Generate financial reports and analyses to provide insights into project performance.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction or solar industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on construction accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Sage 300 is a plus.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Procore is preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
