We are seeking a skilled Senior System Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and demonstration of multi-INT sensor framework (Joint Capabilities Integration & Development (JICD) Common Services). This role is HYBRID (3 days on-site) in APG and will be supporting a team of government engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive vendor delivered source code and containerized components, maintain code libraries, inspect/compile code in lab, build and maintain demonstration systems, and integrate with external systems (sensors, other software)
- Integrate and maintain software solutions in a Linux environment.
- Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to enhance system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software integration issues in a timely manner.
- Implement containerization strategies utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop scripts and tools to automate processes and improve system efficiency.
- Work closely with Multi-INT sensors to ensure optimal data integration and processing.
- Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar technical discipline.
- 10 years experience in Software development (Python, Java, C )
- Linux System Administrator experience: data center management, local area networks, and serving static, dynamic and streaming content over the web.
- Ability to build a Linux system from scratch, take delivery of Docker containers from software developers, and install/configure them (with reach-back support to developers if needed).
- Familiarity with Docker to building and deploying containerized apps
- Lab/Field Demo/experimentation support
- SIGINT or Multi-INT sensor experience desired
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
- JICD experience (plus)
- Integrated Sensor Architecture (ISA) (plus)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes (plus)
- Linux CE certified (plus)
