We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable and efficient backend systems using Python.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support various applications and services.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement security and data protection measures in backend systems.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements to our tech stack.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Python.
- Experience with Django and building RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript and CSS is a plus.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud.
- Background in machine learning and AI is a nice to have.
- Proficient in working with databases, including PostgreSQL.
- Experience in the SaaS and fintech sectors is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
