Sr Construction Superintendent - Bridges, Structure, Roads, HCSS

Position Overview

The Sr Construction Superintendent will oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines. This role requires extensive experience in bridge and structure construction, as well as proficiency in coordinating heavy equipment and concrete operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities and manage on-site personnel
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards
• Coordinate the use of heavy equipment and concrete for construction projects
• Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely completion
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and clients
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff and subcontractors
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent with a focus on bridge and structure projects
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
• Experience with heavy equipment operations and concrete construction
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• USACE experience and certifications in heavy equipment operation are a plus
• Familiarity with survey, culvert, retaining walls, steel repair, road construction, and underground utilities is advantageous
• Willingness to travel as required for project assignments
