Position Overview

Based in the US, we are a remote first iOS App company! Our team is small but mighty and we love what we do. We are looking for a skilled Senior Full Stack Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality web and mobile applications. This role requires a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development, as well as a passion for building scalable applications that enhance user experience.

Must be able to work from a home office in the USA with occasional travel to offices or events.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using modern frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Ensure smooth integration between web services and native iOS apps.
• Implement server-side logic using Ruby on Rails and ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
• Work with databases and storage solutions including Firebase and Elasticsearch to manage application data effectively.
• Develop and maintain microservices architecture to ensure scalability and reliability of applications.
• Utilize container orchestration tools like Kubernetes for application deployment and management.
• Integrate analytics tools such as BigQuery or Amplitude to track application performance and user behavior.
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to team knowledge sharing.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in full stack web development.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including Angular or React.
• Strong experience with back-end development using Ruby on Rails.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with database management using Firebase or Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and SOA principles.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerization, particularly Kubernetes.
• Experience in developing both web and native iOS applications.
• Experience in a startup environment is an advantage.
  
  

Benefits

• Base salary: $160,000 - $175,000 DOE

• Autonomy: How you want to work and where you work are up to you. We will pay your co-working expenses up to $400 per month.
• Expenses: We will pay for your business expenses and will pay for 50% of all equipment expenses such as computers, phones, and tablets.
• Health insurance: Everyone is enrolled in their own individual health insurance plan. We will reimburse 100% of you and your family's monthly premium bills for health and dental up to a Gold level on the ACA Marketplace or similar plan. The reimbursement plan is subject to change.
• Vacation time: Unlimited
• Retirement: 401(k) plan with 100% employee match up to 6% of compensation, which will be available after the 60-days from the start date.
