Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Traveling Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to join our team. The SSHO will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our construction sites in compliance with federal regulations and standards, specifically within the frameworks of USACE, NAVFAC, and GSA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal construction safety protocols and will be prepared to travel as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee site-specific safety and health plans in compliance with EM-385-1-1 and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance on safety protocols to all site personnel.
- Collaborate with project management and site personnel to promote a culture of safety and health.
- Ensure proper documentation of safety incidents and maintain comprehensive records of safety training and compliance activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for safety concerns and regulatory compliance for the project.
- Stay updated on changes to federal safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Safety and Health Officer in federal construction environments.
- In-depth knowledge of EM-385-1-1, USACE, NAVFAC, and GSA safety regulations.
- Certifications in safety management, such as OSHA 30-hour or equivalent, are preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
