We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Steel Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for structural steel projects, ensuring financial viability and competitive bidding. This role requires a strong understanding of the materials, labor, and processes involved in structural steel construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel fabrication and erection
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop comprehensive bids
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project goals
- Utilize estimating software and tools to increase accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of estimates and proposals
- Provide support during the bidding process and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as an estimator in the structural steel industry
- Strong skills in estimating processes and methodologies
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Tekla and Bluebeam is a plus
- Knowledge of structural steel detailing and fabrication processes is preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills

Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
