We are seeking a highly skilled Supervisor for our Platinum and Refractory Services team. The ideal candidate will oversee operations, ensure safety standards are met, and lead a team focused on the manipulation and processing of Platinum Group Metals and related materials. This role is crucial to maintaining the efficiency and quality of our glass refractories and other related products.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations within the Platinum and Refractory Services department.
- Lead and train team members in techniques related to Platinum Group Metals and glass refractories.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in handling materials.
- Manage and optimize workflows using CAD and Maximo for project tracking and resource management.
- Implement and oversee the annealing process and other related operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to align on design specifications and ASME standards.
- Develop training materials and programs for new and existing staff in platinum welding and other specialized techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the metallurgy or refractory industry.
- Strong knowledge of Platinum Group Metals and glass refractories processes.
- Proficient in CAD software and Maximo for project management.
- Experience with PRINCESS for inventory and resource tracking.
- Familiarity with ASME standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrated experience in glass melting and annealing processes.
- Ability to perform and guide complex platinum welding tasks.
