Systems Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability. This role requires a strong background in systems administration and engineering, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement system configurations to ensure high availability and performance.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal operation.
• Manage and administer servers, networks, and storage solutions.
• Develop and execute backup and recovery plans to safeguard data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT initiatives and projects.
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a System Administrator or Systems Engineer.
• Microsoft Certification (e.g., Role based Fundamentals, Associate or Expert, MCSE, MCSD, MCSA) is required.
• ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation
• Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
• VMware Certification: VCTA, VCP, VCAP, or VCDX
• Pure Storage: Associate or Professional
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Scripting skills for automation and process improvements.
• Experience with security best practices and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and backup solutions.
• Active Directory Administration experience is highly desirable.
