Tax Accountant - Lubbock Texas

Position Overview: The Tax Accountant will play a critical role in our organization by providing tax and accounting services to individuals, as well as private and public businesses. This position requires a highly skilled and detail-oriented accountant with a background in public accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct tax planning and research to minimize tax liabilities for clients
• Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
• Provide guidance and advice to clients on tax-related matters
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Prepare financial statements and reports for tax purposes
• Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with tax laws
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
• Past experience in public accounting or client based tax accounting
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
