Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance and planning, ensuring adherence to tax regulations, and preparing accurate financial reports. This role requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of partnership taxation and tax laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships and corporations
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Assist in tax planning and strategy development
- Conduct research on tax issues and provide guidance to clients
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Review and analyze financial statements to identify potential tax savings
- Utilize tax software, such as Yardi and QuickBooks, for tax filings and reporting
- Provide support during audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and changes in legislation
- Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification preferred
- 3 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field
- Strong knowledge of partnership taxation and tax regulations
- Proficiency in financial reporting and GAAP principles
- Experience with tax software, particularly Yardi and QuickBooks
Benefits
Competitive base salary ($40,000-$90,000)
