Tax and Accounting Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Tax and Accounting Manager to lead our accounting department. The ideal candidate will oversee tax compliance, manage financial reporting, and ensure accurate financial practices are followed. This role requires leadership skills to supervise team members and collaborate effectively with other departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all tax compliance and reporting activities.
• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting principles and practices.
• Conduct reviews of financial statements and tax documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Implement and maintain internal controls for financial processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in the development of the annual budget and financial forecasting.
• Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure adherence to relevant laws.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax and accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
• Proficiency in tax software such as Lacerte and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team.
