This role requires a strong understanding of tax strategies, particularly in the real estate sector, and the ability to provide expert guidance to clients on tax-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for a diverse client portfolio.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients, particularly in the real estate industry.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that affect clients.
- Review and approve tax provisions and calculations in financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, fostering their professional development in tax-related areas.
- Assist clients with tax audits, inquiries, and disputes, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, particularly in real estate.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
