Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager/Supervisor to lead our tax department and ensure compliance with all tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting and will be responsible for overseeing tax preparation, planning, and research for both corporate and individual clients. This role requires strategic thinking to manage risks and optimize tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the preparation of federal and state tax returns for individuals and corporations.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients.
- Research and analyze tax regulations to ensure compliance with IRS and state tax laws.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff in tax preparation and research activities.
- Assist clients with audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Prepare and present tax reports and financial statements to management and clients.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and ensure the firm's practices align with new regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred.
- 5 years of experience in tax accounting or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax software and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Experience in tax planning and strategy development is a plus.

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
