We are a growing CPA firm seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Tax Manager to oversee our tax compliance and advisory services for trusts and estates. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations while providing expert guidance to our clients, particularly high net worth individuals and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare complex tax returns for trusts, estates, and high net worth individuals.
- Provide tax planning and compliance advice to clients, ensuring adherence to federal and state tax regulations.
- Conduct tax research to identify and mitigate tax risks, leveraging knowledge of GAAP and REIT regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their financial situation and offer tailored tax strategies.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members in tax compliance and research activities.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of tax filings and documentation before submission.
- Stay current on tax laws and developments affecting trusts, estates, and high net worth individuals.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree or JD preferred.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory services, specifically with trusts and estates.
- Strong knowledge of tax accounting, partnership tax, and high net worth individual taxation.
- Experience with tax research and compliance processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
