Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review the preparation of federal and state tax returns including 1040, 1041, 1120S, and 1120 for individuals and corporations.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all tax regulations and deadlines.
- Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients, including business tax strategies for S-Corps and C-Corps.
- Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations to provide clients with accurate advice and compliance services.
- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation for tax preparation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships.
